Neural Signal Decoder

Draw neural spike patterns below. The decoder will recognize them and convert them to text and cursor movements, just like a real BCI system.

How It Works

  • Your drawing simulates neural spike patterns from motor cortex
  • The decoder extracts features from the pattern
  • Pattern matching identifies the intended letter
  • Cursor position is calculated from decoded signals

Real BCI Decoding Algorithm

Step 1: Signal Recording

Neuralink's 1,024 electrodes record neural spikes from motor cortex at 30 kHz sampling rate, capturing real-time neural activity.

Step 2: Feature Extraction

Machine learning algorithms extract movement-related features from spike patterns, reducing 1,024 channels to key parameters.

Step 3: Decoding

Neural decoder (linear regression or deep learning) maps extracted features to cursor position or keyboard commands in real-time.
